Anne-Claire Geertruida Danielle Maria Tans and James Thomas Schaad were united in marriage May 14 at Grand Central Church of Christ in Vienna.
Joe Spivy officiated the marriage.
The bride is the daughter of Roeland and Margreet Tans of Lelystad, The Netherlands. The groom is the son of David and June Schaad of Belpre.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. Bridesmaids were Ashley Ray, Lisa McCutcheon and Heidi Stromberg, all friends of the bride.
Groomsmen were Craig Swearingen, friend of the bride and groom, and Austin Abrams, the groom's nephew.
Following the ceremony, a small reception was given by the groom's parents at Grand Central Church of Christ. Following this reception the bride's parents held a formal dinner in the Stratford room of the Blennerhassett Hotel. An additional wedding reception is being planned for May 2012 in Lelystad, The Netherlands, after which the couple will go on their honeymoon to Rome, Italy.
The bride graduated from Ohio Valley University in 2010 with bachelor's degrees in accounting and business management. The groom graduated from West Virginia University at Parkersburg with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Both the bride and groom are employed by Suddenlink Communications. The couple resides in Vienna.
