Mike and Julie Smith of Belmont announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea "A.J." Jenkins, to Seth Deem, son of John and Jerri Deem of Marietta.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ralph and Barbara McCloy of Parkersburg, Carol Alkire of Parkersburg and John and Pauline Gregg of Pullman. She is a 2008 graduate of St. Marys High School. She is employed with Smith Candy in St. Marys as a manager.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Irene Deem of Palmer, Ohio, and Faye and Raymond Lee of Reno. He is a 2005 graduate of Waterford High School and a 2008 graduate of Washington State Community College's practical nursing program. He is employed with the City of Charleston Fire Department and St. Joseph Ambulance Service.
