L.K. and Mary Ann Smith will celebrate their 50th anniversary. They were married May 12, 1961, at the Murphytown Baptist Church by the Rev. E.J. Roberts.
He is the son of the late J.B. Smith and Mrs. Ora Smith McAtee. He retired from EI Dupont after 31 years of service.
She is the daugther of the late William and Helen Holtz.

They are active members of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church and recently took a second honeymoon.
The couple have three children: Missy and Jim Reynolds, Rory and Angela Smith and Adam and Melissa Smith. They have nine grandchildren: Zachery, Noah, Tristen, Colten, Brooklyn, Gracelyn Joanna, Andrew, Jaclyn and Rebecca.
There will be an open reception from 2-4 p.m. today at the South Parkersburg Baptist Church. Gifts are to be omitted.
