Bill and Charlene South Archer of Parkersburg celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 30.
They were married at Seventh Street United Church on April 30, 1961 by Rev. James H. Reed.
She is the daughter of the late Virgil South and Selma Maxwell South.

He is the son of the late Frederick Ray Archer and Ruby Rowe Archer.
The couple are the parents of Frederick (Paula) Archer of Orlando, Fla., and Cheryl (John) Marlow of Parkersburg.
They have eight grandchildren, Tristan (Josh) Lynch, Timothy (Darlene) Archer, Torrey and Sabrina Archer, Kimberly (Michael) Leto, Padra (Scott) Ward and Kyle Sanchez. They have six great-grandchildren: Willa, Jaycee and Bella Lynch, Kylee and Bentley Archer and Brody Leto.
The family will hold a celebration at a later date.
