Valerie Ann Langford and Enrique Javier Arnedo Rojas were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony on Oct. 16, 2010, at St. Alphonsus Church in Ocean Springs, Miss. The Rev. Henry McInerney officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack H. Langford of Pullman, W.Va. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Enrique Javier Arnedo Ibanez of Madrid, Spain.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an ivory trumpet gown with an empire waist and cap sleeves adorned with pearls and crystals with champagne under laying and a chapel train. Her hairpiece was matching pearls and ivory feather, and her wedding necklace and rings were gifts from both families. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, calli lilies, roses and assorted greenery in keeping with the fall season.

The bride's sister, Gloria Marie Bava of Petersburg, W.Va., was the maid of honor. Friend of the bride, Elizabeth A. Quave of Ocean Springs, Miss., served as a bridesmaid. The attendants wore formal gowns in shades of guava and carried flowers in shades of assorted fall flowers.

The best man was Rafael E. Arnedo Rojas and the groomsman was Benjamin Arnedo Rojas of Madrid, Spain, both brothers of the groom. Serena Marie Bava, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

She wore a gown in guava and carried a wicker basket of flowers in autumn shades. Nour Zayed, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. Hussain Al-Shibib, a friend of the couple, served as usher.

Participating as readers in the ceremony were sister of the groom, Marina Zayed Arnedo, of Ocean Springs; Carlos Jesus Arnedo, uncle of the groom, of Madrid; and aunt of the bride, June Langford Berkley of Worthington, Ohio. Music for the ceremony was provided by Richard Sawyer, friend of the bride and groom.

Following the ceremony, the couple greeted guests during a patio reception at Gulf Hills Hotel and later hosted wedding guests at a dinner in the banquet room of the hotel.

The bride is a graduate of Ritchie County High School. She attended West Virginia Community College and is certified and has a degree in nuclear medical technology. She is advancing her degree in this field at Ferris State University and is employed as a nuclear medicine technologist at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Miss.

The groom was educated in Formento de Centros de Esenanza, Colegio El Pardo in Madrid, earning his undergraduate degree in magisterio educacion infantil and his graduate degree in magisterio educacion primaria in Spain. He worked in Ireland prior to earnhing his bachelor's degree as an air transport pilot in Spain, completing his education in Atlanta, Ga.

The couple is planning a honeymoon in Europe this coming summer in conjunction with another wedding reception in Madrid with friends and family from Europe.
