Roy and Sheila Caplinger celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Jan. 24, 2011. The couple was married Jan. 24, 1976, by the Rev. Jerry Caplinger at Pleasant View Baptist Church.
He is the son of Jerry and Ella Mae Caplinger. She is the daughter of the late Lowell and Mary Vincent, and foster daughter of the late Edith Elder.
He is retired from Ames Co., and she is retired from the Bureau of Public Debt. The couple has two children, Roy Jr. and Amanda (Andy) Bonnett Boyd. They have four grandchildren, Kyle Caplinger, Austin McKay and Dustin and Althea Bonnett.
