Shannon Renee Summers and Jonathan Edward Farley were united in marriage Oct. 23, 2010, in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the New River Gorge at Class VI in Fayetteville. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Colleen Griffith.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Tracy Summers and granddaughter of Carl and Jackie Woolwine and the late Robert Moore and Judith and the late Russell Ashcraft, all of Sistersville. She is a 2004 graduate of Tyler Consolidated High School and a 2008 graduate of Marshall University where she earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is a 2010 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University as a doctor of physical therapy. She is employed as a physical therapist at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.
The groom is the son of Norman and Jennifer Farley, and grandson of Norman Sr. and Barbara Farley and Alvin and Margaret Willey, all of Hinton. He is a 2002 graduate of Summers County High School and a 2007 graduate of Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. He is working on a master's degree in special education at Marshall University. He is employed as a special education teacher at Arthur I. Boreman Elementary in Middlebourne.

The bride, escorted by her father and accompanied by a flute and guitar acoustic duo, wore a strapless A-line gown with sweetheart neckline, pleated bodice and double strap open keyhole back highlighted by beads. She carried a bouquet of deep purple and orange fall flowers and berries.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Lyons of Mars, Pa., Alicia Kinsey of Flemington and Jessica Walton of Greensboro, N.C., all friends of the bride. They wore tea-length brown dresses with purple cardigans and carried bouquets of fall flowers.
Taylor Isaac of Hinton, niece of the groom, served as junior bridesmaid. Allie Farley of Hinton, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.
Groomsmen were Benji Farley of Hinton and Neil Farley of Cross Lanes, both brothers of the groom, and Ryan Summers of Sistersville, brother of the bride. Brandan Isaac of Hinton, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
Samantha and Stephanie Moore, cousins of the bride, served as guest registrars, and Melody Posey, aunt of the bride, offered the blessing at the ceremony's conclusion.
Bethany Isaac, sister of the groom, served as wedding director.
A brunch reception was held in Smokey's on the Gorge.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
