Melinda Lee Bower and Peter James Mueller were united in marriage on June 5, 2010, at Murphin Ridge Inn in West Union, Ohio. The outdoor ceremony was officiated by James Mueller, father of the groom, and Jim Mike Ward, longtime pastor and friend to the bride.
The bride is the daughter of David and Diane Bower of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Wilda Bower of Lubeck and the late Wayne and Faye Sayre of Vienna.
The bridegroom is the son of James and Susan Mueller of Cincinnati. He is the grandson of the late Rudolph and Anne Mueller of Chicago and the late Bruehl (Sid) and Bernice Purdy of Ripley, Ohio.

The bride works as a faculty member of the Preparatory Dance Program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. The groom owns his own photography business, Peter Mueller Photography LLC.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a v-necked ivory gown and carried a bouquet of red roses.
The matron of honor was Dr. Molly Balsley, sister of the bride, of Fairfax, Va. The best man was Jay Goodlett, friend of the groom, of Cincinnati.
The ring unit was comprised of Jackson Bower, nephew of the bride, of Raleigh, N.C., as well as Megan and Nathan Goodlett, friends of the couple, and Mia Goodlett, goddaughter of the groom, of Cincinnati.
The reception was held on the grounds of the Murphin Ridge Inn. The cake was made by Tricia Sundbeck Bell, friend of the couple, and featured three tiers with white icing and hand-painted scroll decoration in black and red.
After a honeymoon on Mackinac Island in Michigan, the couple resides in Winston-Salem, N.C..
