William E. Ruble, 82, of Mineral Wells passed away on Oct. 7, 2010, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Wood County, a son of the late Clarence and Margaret Beabout Ruble.
William was a U. S. Army veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired from FMC after 20 years of service and retired in 1991 from WVU-Parkersburg after 15 years of service in the Maintenance Department. He love gardening and was a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church since birth.
He is survived by his wife, Freda M. Walters Ruble; three sons, Mark (Deidre) Ruble of Belpre, Thomas Ruble and David (Vicki) Ruble, both of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Partridge and Verna Hutson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Phil Prunty and Pastor Lloyd Keith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
