Charles Henry Frederick, 82, of Vincent, Ohio, passed from this life Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at Muskingum Nursing Home in Beverly, Ohio, after suffering a stroke. He now awaits Resurrection Day.
He was born in Harrisville, W.Va., on April 3, 1928, a son of Charles and Rettie Frederick.
Charles retired from Parkersburg Steel. Among other places he worked were Douglas Aircraft in Torrance, Calif., and Duetsch in Banning, Calif. He was a member of Parkersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra of Vincent; son, Marvin (Rhonda) Frederick of Montclair, Calif.; daughter, Sandra Matusik of New Matamoras, Ohio, from a former marriage; stepchildren John Graham of Wooster, Ohio, Joe Graham of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Donna Davis of Smithville, W.Va.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Leona Frederick of Vernonia, Ore., and Karen Jean Wilson of Hot Springs, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Lorraine B. DiGiacomo, Janet L. McKinley and Sharon M. Morrison.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor Daniel Morikone officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery on Ohio 339 at Belpre. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday.
