Company planning additional interviews

July 10, 2010 - From Staff Reports

PARKERSBURG - A second round of interviews have been scheduled in Parkersburg by a telemarketing firm looking to hire 100 people in Parkersburg who would work from home.

The response in the first round of interviews this week in Parkersburg by the InfoCision Management Corp. was so great the company scheduled a second round of open interviews on Wednesday in Parkersburg.

"The overall quality of applicants we saw in Parkersburg was very, very impressive," said Anna Jones, InfoCision human resource coordinator.

Interviews will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Workforce Employment Service at 300 Lakeview Center in Parkersburg. Walk-in applicants are welcome, but all applicants must possess the minimum technology requirements, including a computer with Windows version XP or newer, a cable or DSL Internet connection, a monitor with at least 1024x768 resolution and a valid e-mail address.

InfoCision, founded in 1982, is the nation's second largest privately held teleservice company.

The company is expanding its Virtual Call Center operation based in Gallipolis into the Parkersburg and Marietta areas because of increased demand from clients. Employees work from their home computers and log into InfoCision's system remotely using their internet connection.

Employees earn a regular paycheck, have opportunities for bonuses and work a set schedule just like employees in the company's call centers. However, flexible schedules are also available depending upon need.

InfoCision also works with state and local rehabilitation agencies to provide technological assistance to work-at-home employees with physical limitations.

The company is headquartered in Akron and operates 32 call centers at 12 locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
