REEDSVILLE - The cause of a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Reedsville, Ohio, Tuesday is still under investigation, officials said.

Four fire departments responded to 55185 Barr Hollow Road Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. to find a mobile home engulfed in flames, said Capt. Joshua Smith with the Olive Township Volunteer Fire Department.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The mobile home, owned by Kevin Barber and Teressa Gillianwater, was a total loss, said Smith.

"With the extreme heat outside today, we called for additional units," he said. "In all, we had about 15 firefighters out there. We have a three-man system. Three guys go out and fight the fire for a couple minutes, and then they retreat and rehab while three others go out for a turn."

Olive Township, Chester Township, Tuppers Plains and Coolville volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.

The fire was under control in under 20 minutes. The cause of the blaze is undetermined, said Smith.
