Wallace Adrian Brannon, 76, of Belleville, passed away June 25, 2010, at home.
He was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Vadis, Lewis County, W.Va., son of the late Wallace I. and Ethel Bush Brannon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, graduated from Weston High School, attended Fairmont State College, and he retired from the Pleasants Power Station.
He was an active member of Fairlawn Baptist Church where he was involved with the Senior Adult Ministry Team and the Buildings & Grounds Team, and a member of the Weston Masonic Lodge #10.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, telling stories and talking with his granddaughters, and he also enjoyed wood-working, golfing, and his annual deer hunting trip with his son, Dan, and friends.
He is survived by one son, Daniel and Charlene (McWhorter) Brannon of Belleville; two granddaughters, Breann N. and Marcy A. Brannon, both of McLean, Va.; one sister, Glea and Tom Waugh of Weston; two sisters-in-law, Nancy and Bill White, and Roberta King, all of Weston; and his good friends, John and Gelen McWhorter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (King) Brannon.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Fairlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Varndell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
