CHARLESTON- Sentencing for Parkersburg attorney Richard Hayhurst, who pleaded guilty in November, has been delayed.
Late Monday U.S. District Judge Thomas E. Johnston entered an order delaying sentencing to 10 a.m. April 14 in Charleston. In the order it states the delay was for "reasons appearing to the court."
Hayhurst, 60, pleaded guilty before Johnston to failure to pay over trust fund taxes for employees, following a federal investigation revealing he failed to pay more than $405,000 in taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.
