Jackson man charged with sexual abuse
By JEFFREY SAULTON jsaulton@newsandsentinel.comRIPLEY - More than 100 counts of alleged sexual abuse and assault were filed Wednesday against a Ravenswood man after he turned himself in at the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
According to magistrate court records, Adam Scott Dunlap, 30, of Ravenswood was charged with 30 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or person in position of trust, 27 counts of third-degree sexual assault, and 30 counts of incest, all felonies. He also was charged with 30 misdemeanor counts of third-degree sexual abuse.
Dunlap was arraigned before Magistrate Tom Reynolds and is in custody in lieu of $495,000 bond. He will appear for a preliminary hearing within 10 days before Magistrate Jackie Casto.
A date for the hearing had not been set as of Thursday.
According to magistrate court records, Dunlap was charged in connection with alleged conduct with two family members between the ages of 13 and 14 in 2005 to 2006.

oh and yourstruly, how in the heck can *I* as a ONE WOMAN show, possibly give EVERYONE here a bad rep? That would mean that I am giving YOU a bad rep too. That's just unrealistic. I admit, no none here truly knows what he did or didn't do, no one here can say he did do these things, or did not do them. So many times, you know people, or think you know them, and then something big like this comes along and you see what they really are. I guess the courts will find out and the mess will be straightened out one way or another, but no one can defend him 100 percent, nor condemn him 100 percent. I have known people who have had this many charges against them, and it's a shocker and a surprise when they plea bargain, you can't believe they did what they did, it's crazy. I immediately thought DEAR HEAVEN, what a sick sick person, then his myspace pic made him look like he was trying to be seductive in his pic. Maybe knowing the charges, my brain thought he was trying to give off that vibe, maybe if I hadn't known and then seen his pic, I may have thought he looked like a nice guy. I'll never know know, but that many charges seems very suspicious.

jenniferbarker: I agree with you, except for the fact that he never said anything wrong towards these boys. He and his wife were there for them. I suppose it wasn't enough though. Maybe the abuse by their father got worse after Adam and his wife left. That we will never know. yourstruly: Thank you.

Ok I'm Gonna say it. His life is ruined. Innocent or not. A small town A pack of closed minded people. Then you have Cinnamongirl that straight out of the box judges him by a my space picture. Adam has no chance,none. 500,000 bail.Because of the words of people he has offended in the past. At least wait till it is sorted out. Cinnamongirl get a grip. You give everyone here a bad rep. usually when a person has this many counts against them, time will be served. I agree some people are wrongly accused in the end some people who should serve time are never charged. If a child states someone has done things to them then as an adult we have to protect them.

I don't know Adam well,but I don't think he has a mean bone in his body. He is polite decent and likable. Everyone here forgets it's innocent before guilty.
