Joshua Britton Jameson Jr., 57, of Washington, W.Va., passed away Feb. 27, 2010, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 23, 1952, in Ritchie County, a son of the late Joshua B. Jameson Sr. and Lenora Kelly Jameson.

Josh retired as a supervisor from DuPont Washington Works after 25 years service. He was a member of the Pennsboro Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite and Beni Kedem Temple, both of Charleston. He was a graduate of Pennsboro High School and received his bachelor's degree in education from Fairmont State College and a master's degree in industrial safety from West Virginia University.

Josh loved hunting with his buddies at the Stewart's Run Hunting Club and watching Mountaineer Football.

Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Peggy (Sheppard) Jameson; three sisters, Mada "Toni" Suski (Richard) from Livonia, Mich., Malinda Jackson and friend, Dennis Blankenship, of Pennsboro and Lenora Beth Robertson (Mark) of Pennsboro; four nieces and nephews, Jessie McComas (Edward) of Parkersburg, Joe Jackson of Harrisville and Brittany and Corey Robertson of Pennsboro; and great niece and nephew, McKenzie and Eddie McComas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant siblings.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with the Rev. David Calvert and Ted Stewart officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ritchie County Humane Society, P.O. Box 194, Harrisville, WV 26362.
