Evelyn I. Fluharty

Evelyn Irene Fluharty, 83, of Creston, passed away Feb. 4, 2010 at her home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1926 in Wood County and was a daughter of the late Henry B. Greenleaf and Flossie M. Allen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Ray Fluharty Sr.; a son, Willard Ray Fluharty Jr.; an infant son; two brothers, Donald and Robert Greenleaf; an infant brother, Carl Greenleaf; and a sister, Lillian Fletcher.

Surviving is one son, Michael B. Fluharty of Clarksburg; a daughter, Rena I. Bowman (Donald) of Annamoriah; a sister, Janice Graham of Parkersburg; grandchildren, David Bowman, Rebbecca Lane, Lisa Marie Danials, and Amber Starr Fluharty; and great-grandchildren, Annabelle Danials and Connor William Anthony Lane.

She was a member of Snyder Chapel Church, was a former employee of the American Viscose Company in Parkersburg during World War II and was a homemaker.

She will be missed by her beloved Tinkerbell and Stormy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the following groups in her name: The Humane Society, Calhoun County Library, or St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Mont., 59004-1001.

Private services will be at a later time. Stump Funeral Home of Grantsville is in charge of the arrangements.
