Michael A. Bodie

Michael Alan Bodie, 39, of Parkersburg passed away Dec. 10, 2009, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Parkersburg, the son of the late Robert Lee Bodie and Deborah Sue Knight McVey of Parkersburg.

He was employed by S.W. Resources. He loved movies, WWF Wrestling and rock music. He was Mormon by faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, David Lee Bodie of Parkersburg; his stepbrothers, Bobbie Bodie and Aaron Bodie, both of Vienna; his stepsister, Heather of Vienna; his uncle, Charlie Knight of Mineral Wells; his aunts, Bettie Bodie and Linda Bodie, both of Maryland; and his cousins, Beth, Ann, Jonathon and Carrie.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Merry Knight; and one uncle, George Bodie.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2515 Capitol Dr., Parkersburg, with Bishop Mark Long officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
