Ashlee Jane Scott

Ashlee Jane Scott, 38, of Williamstown, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1971, in Marietta, a daughter of Richard Scott and Lucy Roberts Scott. Ashlee was a dental hygienist for Dr. Gordon McCarthy. She was a graduate of Williamstown High School class of 1989 and West Liberty State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry. She had worked for Kemron Environmental. She graduated from WVU as a Dental Hygienist, first in her class. She was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, Williamstown Legion Auxiliary and was a consultant for Beauty Control.

Ashlee is survived by her parents; brother, Robert Scott of Williamstown; grandparents, Robert and Jane Scott; three aunts, Jill (Gus) Poldemann, Becky Scott and Sheila (Mark) Zeune; special friend, Tom Lauer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gilman United Methodist Church with the Rev. Diann O'Bryant officiating. Cremation will follow with private burial services at the convenience of the family. Friends may call beginning at 6 p.m. today at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, Marietta. Family will be present from 6-8 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and at noon Friday at the church.
