Michael W. Flinn

Michael William Flinn, 24, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away Sept. 27, 2009, in Marietta.

He was born in Bryan, Texas, on Nov. 5, 1984. He was a 2003 graduate of Warren High School, where he was on the track and football teams. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog, Tyson. He also loved playing the guitar. He was employed at Logan's Roadhouse in Vienna and had attended the First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Jo and Allen Fleming of Little Hocking; his father and stepmother, Michael and Sandy Flinn of Belpre; his brothers, Jonathon Flinn of Belpre and Christopher Lee Fleming of Little Hocking; his stepbrothers, Jonathan A. Fleming and Andrew P. Fleming of Little Hocking; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Deloris Flinn of Belpre; his paternal great-grandparents, Evegine Flinn and Olonee Harpold of Belpre; his maternal grandparents, Russell William and Bonnie Lee McBrayer of Little Hocking; his stepgrandparents, Fred and Carolyn Fleming of Belpre; his aunts and uncles, Steve Flinn and Linda Flinn of Belpre, Charles Flinn and Rose Flinn of Washington, W.Va., Youlonda Millard, Bonnie Lynn and Frank "Ack" Taylor and Debbie Thomas and Kevin, all of Little Hocking, Jerry Fleming and Loretta of Alabama, and Robin Montgomery and David of Columbus, Ohio; and his cousins, Camilla, Robert, Angela and Anthony Flinn, Billy Millard and Charolita of Virginia, Shawn Taylor and Katie of Vincent, Ohio, Jeremy Thomas and Jesse of Massachusetts, Jason Taylor and Laura Pottmeyer of Wyoming, and April Brookover and Chad of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Alisha Marie Thomas.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Tony Raffa officiating. Burial will be in the Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
