Robert L. Tippie, 36, Coolville, and Darrell E. Hill, 31, Coolville, were arrested by Athens County sheriff deputies and charged with burglary, according to a press release from the Athens County Sheriff's Office.
The men are accused of stealing small appliances from campers in Hockingport campgrounds over the past two months. Among the items stolen were small televisions and a microwave, said Athens County Sheriff Patrick Kelly.
"We had been having reports of thefts in the Hockingport area for the last two months, and we finally got the break we needed," Kelly said.
Terry L. Bailey, 18, was also arrested Thursday morning and charged with grand theft after allegedly stealing two Jet Skis on June 23 from a Hockingport campround.
Kelly said the three men knew each other.
All three men appeared in municipal court Thursday and were released on bond.
"We will continue with the investigations," said Kelly. "Hopefully, we will be making some more arrests in the near future."
