David D. Midcap and Jeremy Wayne Midcap

David D. Midcap, 50, and Jeremy Wayne Midcap, 20, both of Parkersburg, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, on the Ohio River as a result of a boating accident.

David and Jeremy were both born in Parkersburg.

David and Jeremy both enjoyed four-wheeling together, fishing, boating and the outdoors.

They leave behind their loving family, David's parents and Jeremy's grandparents, Monty Midcap Sr. (Anne) and Therala Midcap; Jeremy's mother and stepfather, Karen L. Byers and Harold Daugherty; Jeremy's fiancee, Tiffany Jones; Jeremy's daughter, Kayleigh Midcap; David's children and Jeremy's siblings, Scotty Midcap, Brandy Midcap (Tom), Dave Midcap Jr. and Kimberly Midcap; David's sisters and Jeremy's aunts, Donna (Andy), Brenda (Rodney) and Beverly; David's brothers and Jeremy's uncles, Mark (Becky, and Monty Jr. (Betty); Jeremy's maternal aunt and uncles, Debbie Barker (Jimmy), Larry Byers and Norman Marks; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Katherine Byers and Ira Byers.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Vernon Reams officiating. Burial will be at Corbin Cemetery in Waverly, W.Va. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
