Charlie Martin, 22, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away June 4, 2009, following an automobile accident in Vienna, W.Va.
He will be sadly missed by his family and all of his many friends. A 2006 graduate of Belpre High School, he also received his Associate degree in Auto Mechanics from Washington County Career Center. He had been employed by The Pizza Place in the Mall since he was 16. He also had worked at Coldwater Creek and Point Park. He attended North Parkersburg Baptist Church all of his life.
Charlie was born April 4, 1987 in Williamstown, W.Va., to Charles Dale Martin of Williamstown and Lisa Nelson Thompson of Little Hocking, Ohio.
He is survived by his infant son, Bradley Martin and Bradley's mother, Brandi of Parkersburg; sisters, Ashley Martin of Belpre, Kayla Martin of Parkersburg, Shanisty Thompson of Little Hocking; brother, Chase Thompson of Little Hocking; grandparents, Faye Marshall of Belpre, with whom he resided, Carl Nelson and Shannon of Belpre; and Tony and Joann Martin of Williamstown.
He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Ty Thompson.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at North Parkersburg Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Meyer officiating. Friends may call one half hour before services at the chapel.
Entombment will be in Burnt Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Williamstown.
