Gail Mary Drinko, 58, of St. Marys, W.Va., went to be with the Lord May 2, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Aug. 14, 1950, in Sonoma, Calif., a daughter of the late Joan B. Tingley McGuiggan. She was a 25-year member of Grace Episcopal Church of St. Marys, where she had served as Sunday School teacher, former chairperson of Gabriel's Angels, Church Vestry, Episcopal Church Women, choir and Altar Guild. She attended Mountain State College and graduated from both Valley Beauty School in 1986 and West Virginia University, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in social service. She was employed as a social worker for 15 years at Westbrook Health Services. Gail loved animals, gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children, Yvette M. Drinko-Kiggans and her husband, Bill, and Joette M. Fetty and her husband, David, all of St. Marys, and Robert J. Drinko and his wife, Gara, of Harrisville, W.Va.; and six grandchildren, Adrean and Steven Barnhart, Sara and Lara Fetty and Brody and Kelsey Drinko.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Ayla Gail Fetty and Garon Lee Fetty.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Marys, with the Rev. Richard Heller officiating. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys.
