David A. Roberts

David Alan Roberts, 40, of Parkersburg, died May 12, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 2, 1967, in Parkersburg, a son of Edwin and Sharon Archer Roberts. He served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, N.C. His family will always remember him for his great sense of humor and love of the outdoors. He also enjoyed his constant companions, two Jack Russell Terriers, Bailey and Sweet Pea.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Davina Roberts; two sons, Raymie Eugene and Wyatt Alan Roberts; two sisters, Vicky Huffman of Parkersburg and Nancy Gribble and her husband, Gary, of Fleming, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Alan Roberts; maternal grandparents, Frank and Lucille Archer; and paternal grandparents, Coy and Irene Roberts.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Stan Wells and Pastor Rodney Lord officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
