Three arrested for allegedly manufacturing marijuana

SMITHVILLE — Three Smithville residents were arrested Thursday evening for allegedly manufacturing marijuana.
Harrisville State Police troopers uncovered the in-door marijuana growing while serving a search warrant on the residence of Dustin Aaron Roberts, 18, police said. Cpl. O.S. Starsick and Sr. Trooper R.E. Richarson discovered 13 marijuana plants growing in the basement of the residence in Ritchie County, police said.
Bradley N. Gregg, 43, father of Roberts, was alone in the residence when it was searched. He was taken into custody and the troopers obtained a second warrant pertaining to the crime of cultivation or manufacturing a controlled substance.
The second search led to the arrest of Roberts and his mother, Susie Gregg, 49, police said.
They were transported to the North Central Regional Jail.
