William D. Clinton

William “Bill” D. Clinton, 83, of Parkersburg, died April 5, 2008, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Wirt County, a son of the late C. William and Hildra C. Hornish Clinton.
Bill graduated from PHS in 1943 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was the sales manager for Thomas Pontiac for over 20 years, retired from Dils Ford and then was self employed with a license and title service company. He was an avid auction attender and never met a stranger.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Gilbert of Belpre, Cindy Haddad of Parkersburg and Cristy Perkins of Parkersburg; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Chris Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
