Robert D. King, 78, of Sistersville, W.Va., died Feb. 28, 2008, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.

He was born July 25, 1929, in Sistersville, a son of the late Frank D. and Mabel V. Potts King. He was a former State Farm Insurance agent in Sisterville for 27 years. He was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ in Sistersville and a Korean Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy L. Smith King; son, Michael D. King of Sistersville; daughters, Lisa K. (Rick) Leach and Beth A. (Michael) Tuttle, all of Sistersville; brother, Don K. (Martha) King of Sistersville; and grandchildren, Joshua Wood, Stephen King, Trent Tuttle, Alexis Leach, Terran Tuttle, Tristen Tuttle and Ricky Leach.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, with Evangelist Charles Aebi and Evangelist Jerry Toothman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
