GIRLS BASKETBALL: St. Marys 59, Ritchie County 36 — ELLENBORO —Caitlyn Berry and Kelcee Fickiesen combined for 30 points here Monday night to lead visiting St. Marys to a 59-36 Litlte Kanawha Conference win over Ritchie County.

Berry took game honors with a 17 points effort while Fickiesen added 13 points for St. Marys, which led 26-14 at halftime.

Ritchie County got 10 points from LeAndra Villers. The Rebels are back in action tonight, entertaining Tyler Consolidated. St. Marys will play host to Gilmer County tonight.



Belpre 63, River Valley 54

BELPRE — A fourth-quarter surge carried the Belpre girls basketball team past River Valley 63-54 on Monday night.

The Golden Eagles trailed 43-38 before outscoring River Valley 25-11 over the final eight minutes.

Laura Green led Belpre with 19 points, while Taylor Mason added 16 points. Teammate Emily Baker pitched in 10 points for the 6-10 Golden Eagles.



Roane County 43, Herbert Hoover 27

SPENCER —Roane County took an 11-2 first quarter lead and never trailed in knocking off visiting Herbert Hoover, 43-27, here Monday night.

Kate Williams had 13 points and Clarissa Pinson 12 for the Raiders (7-4).

Herbert Hoover got 15 points from Danielle Sams.

Roane visits South Harrison tonight.



Meigs 58, Wahama 53

MASON —Meigs rallied in the final period here Monday night to overcome an early Wahama lead and top the White Falcons, 58-53.

Katie Wolfe had 20 points and Morgan Howard 18 for Meigs (6-8).

Wahama (7-7) got 32 points from Amber Tolley and 13 from Taylor Hysell.

The White Falcons entertain No. 1-ranked Huntington St. Joe tonight.



Gilmer County 80, Clay County 61

GLENVILLE —Brooke Turner scored 22 points to lead Gilmer County to an 80-61 Little Kanawha Conference win over Clay County here Monday night.

Turner was one of fiveTitan players to reach double figures as Samantha Loudin and Kourtney Beall scored 14 points each, Emma Hickman had 12 and Catherine Butcher 11 as thte Titans raised their record to 6-7.

Clay County got 28 points from Kelly Cale and 23 from Sierra Carver.
