News and Sentinel: Please get your facts straight. I attended that meeting - unlike your reporter - and the board didn't table Dr. Law's recommendation. Dr. Law HIMSELF motioned for the extension/delay of the hearing, and board members actually seemed quite irritated with this. They repeatedly asked why this was necessary, and Dr. Law stated that with more time the attorneys may come to an agreement that resulted in a change of his recommendation.

According to the article, "Law declined to provide background on Brady's service and tenure in the school system." Why didn't you find out from another source? Karen Brady has been a part of Wood County Schools for almost 30 years with a spotless record, and this meeting about her possible dismissal is a sure sign that something in the system is not quite right. This situation needs active investigation. The passive, single-source reporting here is damaging the reputation of one of the community's best educators.
