Back in the late 1950's and early 1960's,my Grandmother and Grandfather from Waverly,WVA would on a nice spring, summer or fall day gather wooden sticks, make homemade half runner beans, home made potato salad, homemade cole slaw, chopped onions, mustard, ketschup, mayo, a thermas of ice tea.and marshmallows and hot dog and hamburger buns and go over to the park with my grandparents,Aunt Helen, sister Debra and brother Junior for a weiner and hamburger roast. Those long ago days are memorable and I will cherish as long as am able.
