It would be interesting to know just how much $ is made at the airport and just how much tax dollars are spent to keep it open. And JoeSix you are right it ran more as a play thing than a community service. But thats what happens when you get "free tax money"

Sadly, this airport will never amount to more than it is when you can only go one place. I have checked flights out of here, with the obvious connection in Cleveland, and they are always much more than if I drive to Columbus, Huntington or Charleston. I don't like the drive one bit, but I am not paying the rates from here.

Does no one see the need to try to run the airport like a business? Just charging 'what will satisfy the FAA?' instead of what the market will bear?

If you play the game to lose - as Moore and the Airport Authority seem to - they shouldn't be surprised when they lose. We need someone in that position that can handle the business end. Moore seems to be a nice guy, but it's clear he's been out of his depth running the airport.

Weren't they looking for someone new? Waht happened there?
