I haven't tried Alsis either, but I think I might. sticker shock at the usual chain grocers continues to skyrocket.

You can get bad food at any store. Things can go bad there as well as at home. I keep my sales slips in a box for two weeks on foods, and if something is bad, I take it back with the slip for a refund. I also shop at Aldi's, and have never had to return anything. Doesn't mean it can't happen, maybe I've just been lucky, or shopped on days when things came in fresh. And I might add, the employees have always been friendly towards me. Could it be, they are responding to the way the public treats them?

I think the person saying they refuse to get a debit card "again" is probably on par with me.

Anyone who stays current with technology and store policies realizes that many vendors are allowed to charge you for use of your debit card, and it give DIRECT ACCESS to your checking account.

Are you foolish? You may dispute something with your bank for months to get reimbursed for a misused debit card.

Credit card companies, on the other hand, resolve disputes very promptly, and the consumer isn't responsible for its misuse.

Now, if you can't pay your credit card bills in full, I don't recommend you use credit.

I actively avoid stores who don't accept my credit cards.

I have a debit card, just don't use it other than at my ATM to grab a little petty cash now and then.

Mcquakkers I feel your pain. These new fangled things like debit cards, which are basically a checking account without the hassle of writing checks, are just a little too radical.

Heavens to Mergitroid, what's next? Scanning prices instead of typing the prices on tags into cash registers? What's this world coming to?

ALDI's is a great place to shop, friendly employees and decent prices on most items! Looking forward to seeing the revamped store. Way to go ALDI'S

People who shop only with a check book drive me up the wall. They stand there until the sale is complete and THEN fumble around for their check book as if they never had to pay before. At the very least, have it all filled out other than the amount! Or go back to the nursing home!

I shop at Aldi's all of the time. The staff has always been very courteous and helpful to me. They have the best prices on staples such as bread, milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables. The quality of the products overall have always been good.

Hey mcquakkers it's 2013. get with the times we live in and get yourself a debit card, would you please? And I find zero validity in your comment when you stated how rude you were treated by the staff at Aldi. What utter nonsense! What do you do since you don't carry cash or a debit card? Write checks everywhere? If so, thenstop holding up the line and get with 2013 please.

Last time I was at Aldi's I was treated very rudely by the staff and supervisors. I don't carry cash and I refuse to get a debit card again. And they don't accept credit cards or checks. Plus IMO their just a ritzy version of Save-A-Lot with higher prices. I will stick to Save-A-Lot & Kroger's.

We've never been to ALDI's, but after spending $68 bucks at Kroger last night for just a few items, we may try it out.
