I hope they take better care of these than they do 5th. There are weeds around the trees, lights and in the bricks. What's the point of all of this if no one takes care of it.

those are the ugliest things I've ever seen. The trees looked much better. Should've left them alone. I'm glad my user fee went to those and to the fake brick crap too. It all looks hideous.

The planters are a great idea. I hope more planters will be forthcoming. Some parts of Parkersburg look like bombed out Iraq.

It's a win/win. A beautification project which has a functional purpose. But then again we could do without those ugly fake brick decals which are used for crosswalks. They're peeling again.

Why do they have to call it a "green, EPA project? Couldn't it be just a nice way to control storm water and beautify the town? I get ssoooo sick of hearing this Obummer, Green, Global warming, Clean, EPA, bull@#*^ that I could just puke!!!!

Very good addition to downtown Parkersburg. As for the pot holes down by CCMH, that "state" Rt. 14

Make it worth the while. Plant herbs and tomatoes. Food feels good in the long run.

Officials are concentrating on Juliana Street and possibly other areas of downtown Parkersburg as potential locations for more planter boxes.

Got to shine it up for the big race. prolly get some freshly painted brick cross-walks in the near future too.No need to fix the pot holes down by CCMH,the kenyans don't run over that way.
