Caperton right about education

June 9, 2013

When U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller revealed he will not run for re-election next year, West Virginia Democrat leaders began looking for someone to run in his place. That won’t be former Gov....

The thing I remember most about Caperton is how he SWORE he wouldn't raise taxes and he wasn't even gov. for a week before he raised taxes. How about someone running who is truthful or is a truthful politician an oxymoron?

Anecdotal comments Suttle that have no basis or foundation for anything beyond your opinion. Bills supported by our next Senator Capito and McKinley could be mentioned but you would just use the "true Scotsman" argument with them so it's pointless to discuss specifics but the bottom line is, what you stated in nothing more than an opinion. I’m curious, is there an argument that you can make that is fact based?

Gaston Caperton....doubled the sales tax from 3% to 6%...said if we allowed the lottery in WV that Seniors would be taken care of and all education needs would be taken care of. Said Caperton "if you allow the lottery there will never be another school bond needed in WV"....promised if elected he would make route 2 a 4 lane interstate, he did do that....he moved the route 2 signs on to a portion of route 77. We need a Democrat but not this one.

Really, Suttle? Because the left consistently shows tactics exactly of which you speak. Back-handed, dirty, radical, Alinsky tactics designed to shame and embarrass anyone opposed to their views. I grew up as a Democrat, and trust me, the best thing I've ever done is decide to vote for our country instead of a party. There is nothing wrong with success, yet your side chooses to attack and defame anyone that earns more than you. Record number of welfare recips, record number of disability claims, food stamp enrollees at an all-time high. Really, Suttle? You want to defend the Marxist regime that insists the government is taking care of you and your best interests? Not me, sir. I'll continue earning everything I have, and I'll enjoy every minute of it knowing that my success makes you cringe.

Can you name one successful action that either of our two Republican Congressional Representatives have taken benefitting the citizens of West Virginia? The truth is that Republicans do not know how to govern...Republicans only know how to be obstructionists...Republicans are the party of "NO."

Caperton is one of a select few that would stand a chance against SMC. Barring a meltdown on her part, the seat is hers.

The last thing we need is another democrat in the Senate to kiss Obama's buns like Joe is doing.
