Sounds like a bunch of bull to me. They committed the crime, they should in no way be given any special treatment of any kind. Unless they are in dire medical need with life or death as a scenario, they should have to reschedule absolutely everything on their own accord. That person wasn't thinking about their doctors appointments when they committed the crime so why should we.

Time off to work, baloney. If they are not available for work, maybe someone who will not abuse the privilege of a decent job will have an opportunity.

We are way to merciful. Give them hard, hard labor so maybe they will think twice before their next stupid decision.
