Really the only safe solution is to have more secure institutions available for crisis situations. This is expensive but really the only way some of these individuals can be effectively dealt with.

"BakerKat" I agree that, "the lack of good mental health was and continues to be a problem" but Congressman McKinley is not the only one in DC. that realizes that, Senator Jay Rockefeller and Congressman Rahall has been working on this for months now. Well so far he is the only one in DC who seems to notice that the lack of good mental health was and continues to be a problem. Now if the rest of them can put down their cigars and get off their butts and help him make something good happen.

"wildanimol26101" I wouldn't go that far yet, But its a start. You know he's still a republican and owned by Big Corporations and Big Coal. And if you don't believe he's owned by Big Corporations and Big Coal. Just look at who donates to his campaign.

Finally Congressman Mckinley is doing something for the people he represents. I think this bill will help with our prison overcrowding and the increasing gun violence in our society today!
