The parade was nice. There was not very much candy at all. I feel bad for the kids that bring their buckets and bags and don't end up with very much. When I was a kid we would always have a lot. It think the change is due to organizers not allowing candy to be thrown anymore. Supposedly the candy is to be passed out, probably because some kids at some point decided to violently chuck the candy at parade watchers. I think there could be a happy medium. Bring back the candy! And another issue I felt was the spacing between walkers in the parade. I'm not sure if this is done on purpose to let traffic through but a couple of times there was as much as a three block space between parade walkers/floats. Another thing that I wasn't sure about was a four wheeler that did a wheely in front of a bunch of kids. I was surprised by that. I did enjoy the Easter bonnets and the dressed up doggies but what happened to the horses? My toddler enjoyed it and it did make for a nice day.
