All dams should be hydro-electric producers. At the same time, I hope that their properties are not affected.

Don't think the population is "increasing at an ever-quickening pace," Geezer. The "population bomb" we worried about in the 20th Century is fizzling. The United States isn't in danger of a shrinking population like many developed countries -- but only b/c of immigration. & illegal immigration is down.

Welcome to the future, folks. With the population increasing at an ever-quickening pace, the need for 'jobs' and energy will soon overtake the luxuries we take for granted, i.e. a clean environment, free-ranging wildlife, and a home that is not a government issued cubicle in a housing project. The folks in Boston need electricity and they don't give a 'dam' about local people, eagles, or kayaks, so get used to it.
