Denver, I agree we should always try to see the big picture and prevent more expensive, reactive treatment later.

As a taxpayer, I am for funding (or currently, borrowing for) TRUE investment to reduce costs over the long run.

I respect Mr. Rockefeller greatly. This is a common sense proposal. However, we can no longer afford to grow government and fund everything.

I have yet to see the bill...

When would we see savings? What are the measures? What should we cut now to fund?

Positive and/or constructive involvement by our young people gives us all hope for the future of our country.

I pray that parents teach and guide our children to always seek the truth and always try to do the right thing.

Thumbs Up to Senator Jay Rockefeller, for reintroducing a bill making more residents eligible for preventive diabetes care. It will also save Medicare billions of dollars.

The bill Rockefeller said he reintroduced will allow millions of beneficiaries to participate in the National Diabetes Prevention Program, a structured, 16-session program focusing on healthy eating and physical activity that has been shown to reduce the onset of type 2 diabetes in seniors at risk for the disease by 71 percent.
