The news needs to stop saying the teacher was in it. Throwing in the word "allegedly" doesn't stop people from running with it and condemning the teacher. He also "allegedly" told the kids NOT to film it... but they don't tell you that. He wasn't in it, he didn't film it. He shouldn't be fired. The 4 kids I saw were terribly inappropriate and I would be embarrassed if those were my kids. But I wouldn't blame the teacher. People are acting like he directed a ***** in gym class.

@ grinandbearit: The video that you say that is posted by South on you tube IS NOT PARKERSBURG SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL. It is South London. PSHS does not have multicolored tiles all over the floor ANYWHERE, and a little bit of reading below the video in the DESCRIPTION part will clear up your confusion. Quit trying to drag PSHS into the mud with PHS.

1. If it were my child in the video doing the provocative acts, we would be in Dr. Law's office apologizing for the behavior exhibited in this video. 2. My child would understand that his/her actions could have cost a teacher his career (thus, your choices have serious consequences). 3. Though I think I'm doing a good job as a parent, I must reexamine this. ***kids do stupid stuff. This is a learning experience for everyone involved if we allow it to be. Teacher definitely should have edited this video. Kids obviously do not realize the consequences to their actions.

PHS2015: I agree that the only kids who should get in trouble are the 4 doing those acts in the video. The rest of the kids were just having fun doing a Harlem Shake video. But I imagine you are trying to keep your teacher out of trouble because it has been reported numerous times that the teacher videotaped it. If not fine but then news outlets owe him a retraction.had those ids not done what they did.... then this would have been no big deal. A few always have to ruin it for all.

I am a student at PHS and I took part in the video as well. Those of you who are saying that the teacher filmed the video are incorrect, it was a student recording. Also, the three or four students who were doing the much inappropriate things were told not to do that, but proceeded to any way. In my opinion, those four students should be the ones who get in trouble...

What I don't get is the attitude that just because teens do things their parents don't know about and that they know way more than we would like them to it is OK for a teacher to allow it as well as videotape it? And to the comments of "if you don't like it put your kids in private schools"--So parents should have to just accept any kind of behavior from teachers or pay to educate our kids elsewhere? The kids need to be held accountable. But so do the teachers IF they allow the behavior in question. If this had happened when the teacher was out of the room then he would not be at fault. The fact that these kids probably do worse at parties is not the point. The teacher needs to be reprimanded.

I agree Proud. As for Jane what the heck is your problem? You hate special needs kids so much - I can't even wrap my head around your hate for children. Children who certainly didn't ask to be different. You are one sorry person.

Wake up "Reality"... I am not ignorant. lol I am aware and it is hard to offend me. Seriously. However, she could prolly teach me stuff. (JK) The point is that when you are a teacher you have put yourself in a position to set an example. It's not your place to encourage or allow this kind of behavior. Do you think those kids would have danced like that if their parents were watching right then? Do you really feel that this teacher didn't see the wrong? Do you really not see the wrong??

This issue is crazy! It's on fire on FB and apparently no different here. PARENTS claiming this was "just kids having fun" or "a teacher bonding with his students"... I have a 14 yr old daughter and if it were her being essentially dry humped with a cone thrusting her behind..or her lying on the floor with a clothed penis being thrust in her face..she would be in SOOOO much trouble! I feel the kids should be punished. They know better..or they should. As for the teacher who taped it..I am not sure that he should be fired but something should happen. You cannot tell me that he never thought...Hmmm this might upset somebody?!?!

If a teacher allowed, viewed and video taped the other one and it is the same kind of thing, then yes that teacher should be fired as well. Does not make the PHS teacher any less guilty

No one is saying the kids are innocent. Of course they do all kinds of things their parents do not see.Even if they had been on school grounds with no teacher around it would have been different. But for an educator to allow it is disgusting. He should be fired. It is not their job to encourage the bad behavior.

janeeyre who ever said these kids are special needs or have an IEP? And who cares if they did. The teacher should be fired period. Disciplinary actions for doing this on school property should be done if allowed whether or not a kid has an iep. This has nothing to do with the box story. I bet you are a teacher who worries about losing their own job and who thinks all kids are a problem

If there is any other video with these simulated acts, on school grounds with t he teacher in attendance then yes,the teacher should be fired as well. Don't care what school it is.

Well at least they were doing some exercise because the kids were tired of holding the # 2 title for the Fattest state in the Nation. Every time I come home, I see more and more fat people at their favorite two places..Walmart and McDonalds. They are kids..let it go and exercise yourself

I hope the kids who made and performed in this video got all of their "special needs" met! I also hope that this activity helped them meet the standards of their IEP's!Don't blame the kids or the school. Blame the parents! This is proof that we need some bondhead parenting classes in the MOV. Every parent of every kid who participated in thie video owes the school and apology.

Not to be snide here but even though the chick on the State Farm commercial says it it really isn't true! The first time I heard of the video was Monday night from a parent of one of these kids.

ok so what about all of the other videos that happened at other schools including PSHS? Same "dance moves" but yet no one is throwing a fit about it and the teacher was involved in that one as well.

buckeyefan21 This is the problem... These kids should all be punished for the crude acts they are doing in this video. The teacher should have never allowed this to happen and should not be included (behind the scenes or not) in this type of activity when these are all kids! Most of the Shake videos I have seen are in mostly good taste but this one went a bit far... I know for a fact that there are under age kids in this video!

Why not take the video down and then post it on a pay-per-view site to generate revenue to fix the stadium?

showbuch you obviously don't have any teens now and evidently you haven't for a while or if you do your kids are putting on a good show for you and pretending to be the "perfect" kid
