BK marinol is synthetic Delta-9 tetra hydra cannabinol (THC). also the drug Sativex is being used around the world in many county's and it isn't synthetic but is being patented by big pharma and of course sold by them.

Sir I am in Colorado and also a member of a federally exempt religion and church. So as far as I go it isn't illegal at any point. also a University in Montana just done a study on MMJ states VS. non-MMJ states for car wrecks. It seems a 9% decrease in fatal accidents in MMJ state. "The study was conducted by Montana State University economics professor Mark Anderson, and Daniel Rees, a professor at the University of Colorado, and was published by IZA, the Institute for the Study of Labor. Their research method included the pair using an analysis of data from the National Household Survey on Drug Use and Health and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration."

Well HS you seem to know more about this subject then I do. I have herd from so many people out here slamming this product for long time. I hate smoke period...cigarettes I hate because of its second hand smoke and the littering. $1000 fine out here for cigarette butt littering and I love it. I will not post anything that I have no facts for even if it came out of a MD's mouth. Be careful with his illegal product though

Almost all medicines started from plants. Digitalis comes from Foxglove. You shouldn't even mess with this plant without gloves. For a long time they did not know how to synthesize digitalis - not sure if they ever did. As soon as they can sythesize THC effectively it will go on the market. There is no way big pharma won't get a piece of that big pie.

The only problem WV has as far as Cannabis is no medical program yet creating a market for cartels and illegals. Now if the police had one less thing to enforce they could focus on meth , bathsalts, K2, h word and crimes with real victims. The extra revenue generated from a med mj programs taxes could fund more than all the grants the aplly for combined.Remington you may not like my answers but you have yet to produce one source for your claims. I am a big enough man to admit when I am wrong ask any veteran poster. If someone does or has proven me wrong I have stepped up and said so. In the case of cannabis no one on this site has ever. been able to do so. Someone tried once quoted a quack that is featured in a documentary. showing the opposite point of view. But the fact remains more Doctors and medical studies side with the view there is medical value and as i stated the Feds uave a patent on synthetic cannabis and all it's applications.

There has been studies showing smoked cannabis actually isn't a factor in lung cancer. It actually helped fight lung cancer. All be it is possible the paper from a rolled joint could neutralize and benefit. That is why they make vaperizers, water bongs, edibles and of course cannabis can be eaten raw. In the raw stage there is no euphoria effects because the THC is not active without heat or flame. There has been many talks about the. benefits of juicing cannabis rather than smoking or eating.

OH and one last thing. Drugs like Sativex, marinol & others are all being pioneered from cannabis. Also"On October 7, 2003 The United States Government as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services was granted a U.S. Patent (#6630507) on any and all uses and applications of: Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants" Now if Cannabis wasn't beneficial. Why does the federal government have the only patent on it along with foreign nations studying this plant using it's cannabinoid bases for medicines? Seems odd oh yeah most medicines come from nature. Aspirin the bark of a certain tree. Penicillin from mold. The FDA just gave big pharma complete control of dragons blood a powerful plant. I believe I have made my point. Now let's put the cartels out of business tax the plant and go on. If your uninformed or have a job that keeping it illegal is job security I can see why you would want to say different with no proof other than reefer madness propagand

Regardless of anyone's position. I am the only one listing source material and searchable fact. I would like to see source materials from those with claims. I gave mine. Now where is anyone else's? Many legal drugs including Alcohol because it is a drug kill thousands every year. In-fact recently there has been a bunch of death associated with energy drinks and excessive amounts of caffeine. So the harm discussion is really irrelevant in comparison, because there is no record of anyone ever dying from mere consumption even of excess amounts of cannabis. If any poster has contrary proof against a statement I have made please post your source not your opinion or hear say. Post a source or your claims mean nothing. BTW on the car crash comment (not that I approve of driving intoxicated) but Progressive Ins. has a study that state your claims are false about excess crashes since mmJ has been implemented. Why you all here claim my posts are propaganda when you have no source & I do?

Remington,I parrot your comments wholeheartedly. Moreover, I accept the indisputable rulings of the AMA concerning the evident ill health use of marijuana. Objective, the only pain medication that I take is Aleve. Those painkillers you listed are just as deadly(perhaps more so) than the deadly use of meth,***,and yes marijuana.

Objective I will not take even take Tylenol when I get a headache. Hindsight, you do believe everything you read off of the Internet? How I got my info was attending a medical conference (I am in bio science company) Doctors will give pot to "space" out people who do not want painkillers which is addictive. Weed is not.it has proven that kids start out with weed will go to harder stuff later on in life. I may be cruel but I have NO sympathy towards drug users of any kind. Prescription is way worst then weed. We test our blood products against this type of drugs

Usually the ones who scream the loudest about pot being so evil are the ones who have a medicine cabinet full of Vicodin, Oxycontin,Codeine or other assorted prescription drugs they abuse(but think it's okay because they are prescribed)along with a well stocked liquor cabinet in their home.

Btw If you would bother reading the LA. Times online today. There is an article about the federally proposed bill for leaving states with medical Marijuana alone. No where in that article did it make claims or reference to the wild claims you are spewing as fact. I base all my mmj info on fact not eumor or what I want to believe. Also add in thFACT we as humans have endo-cannabinoid receptors. and breast milk has cannabinoids in it naturally it sure looks like the body we have is designed to recieve cannabinoids If you study the facts you will see where ever you got your information from is incorrect.

A 20 year study came back and said acasional pot smoning has no effect on the lungs. (Source Does pot hurt your lungs ? cbs news google it) Univetsity of California SF. Did a study also the findings were that there was no signifigant harm. University of CA.San Diego Done a double blind studys 5 of the 7 are complete showing it was very beneficial for pain and use as a medicine. No study unless funded and controlled by the gov. claims any conclusive proof that cannabis is harmful as you have claimed. Now where is your study claiming different? Id like to read it. I will also state if you watch any drug commercial all come with serious side effects and the patient and Doctor must decide whether the benefites out weigh the risks. BEING THERE IS PROOF OF BENEFIT I DONT SEE WHERE THE GOVERNMENT HAS A RIGHT TO TELL SOMEONE AND THEIR DOCTOR NO.
