To: Madasheck, You are exactly correct in your statement. As I said, " We the People" have no representation at this point.

To Brooks: You crack me up!!!! You want facts? Fact, the next time nObama says something, anything, please record it, then watch your recording two to four weeks later and you will find that nObama did the opposite of what he said two to four weeks earlier. Brooks, I am telling you, this works. Brooks, I did not care for Bush niether, he turned his head as Wall Street and his oil and gas buddies plundered this country. Brooks, in my pinion, these politicians have one common goal, to "line their pockets" on the backs of the working class. No hatred here, just very frustrated that "We the People" have no representation.

It is time to cut spending. The problem is that like the "NIMBY" principal that everyone wants to save their sacred cow and sacrifice someone else's. So, perhaps an across the board cut will be the only solution. BTW, I have seen articles to the effect that our military budget exceeds the military expenditures of at least the next ten highest spending countries. We can all remember stories of expensive toilet seats bought by the military. Also, we all know that there is a lot of waste in domestic sectors as well. My only regret is that salaries of our elected officials in Washington are exempt from the supposedly across the board reductions.

The liberals are afraid the sequester will happen. Then all their fear mongering will be shown to be just that, when nothing bad happens and the economy starts to improve as Wall Street reacts to fiscal responsibility.

Maybe Joe and his "No Lables" will get Obama to compromise as the Republicans have... Oh Joe already sided with Obama... Oh "No Lables" was started by and is run by liberals. Go Figure.

I voted for Obama the first time. Not the second. While this Sequester will hurt everyone, I hope it will teach everyone a lesson. It's unfortunate that we have to act like high schoolers when dealing with the public. Dems are throwing out their so called facts. Reps are showing their so called facts. Honestly does any one of you on this forum really know. I don't and will not even attempt to think I do. Personally, I quit looking at it with any kind of seriousness. Try to find the humor in the government because they are all a bunch of idiots on both sides of the isle

Manchin VOTED FOR IT! He needs to shut up about it and take responsibility. Good lord, this sounds like "we have to pass the bill before we can see what is in the bill" all over again!

The National Debt this morning is $16,606,243,000,000.

According to Congressional Budget Office (CBO) the proposed Sequester cuts amount to 1.2 percent of 2013 spending which is enough to keep the government running for about 4.5 days.

What did the Obama family vacations cost the taxpayers in his first four years in office?

AGAIN I WILL STATE: "WE {REPUBLICANS & DEMOCRATS ALIKE} DON'T WANT A "ONE PARTY" POLITICAL SYSTEM IN THIS COUNTRY.... The overly biased Right Wing here in the Mid Ohio Valley need to take a LOOK at the BIG POLITICIAL PICTURE {NATIONALLY} and stop their support of a RADICAL Party that has invaded the ONCE RESPONSIBLE & RESPECTABLE REPUBLICAN PARTY. TAKE HEED: The "working class" of this nation have spoken, loudly & clearly.... It appears that RADICAL elements of the RIGHT, are out to DESTROY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY..

The Republicans refuse to compromise? That is all they have done. They have let Obama have everything he wants. Remember during the debates Obama looked at Romney and said the Sequester was not a big deal. Now the sky is Falling ..

You people don't have a clue. Obama has increased government spending from an average of 20.7% of GDP over the past 40 years to 24% during his administration

The number of federal employees grew by 123,000, or 6.2%, under President Obama

Well said Brooks. After 4 years of obstruction from the RIGHT WING, the people of this country are beginning to recogonize where the problem lies. Unfortunately, this may ultamately result in the total demise of the REPUBLICAN party. WE DON'T WANT A "ONE PARTY" POLITICAL SYSTEM IN THIS COUNTRY...

Feb-27-13 8:02 AM you like that the top 2% continue to get tax breaks, and pay less taxes than the majority of workers in this country? The country is broke because of the Bush tax cuts and two wars put on the credit card of our taxes. You need to look at the some research and stop watching Faux news and listening to Rush....but I doubt that will ever are part of the problem...not the solution. The country elected Obama fair and square, unlike Bush btw...the obstuctionism by the GOP is causing the problems...not the President.

You dont have to hope Republicans will stand their ground. They refuse to compromise.

The O'l game of making Obama a one term president is still on for some reason.

Oh well let them do nothing. They are just making themselves less relevant the more they act like this.

The number one reason for all of this lack of action is simply because quite a few folks on the right are just trying to keep their "jobs".

A perfect example is John Boehner.

Politics before country as usual.

What I would like to know about the Sequester cuts is, "If everybody is against them, who the *ell voted for them?"

Apparently congress doesn't think their approval rating is low enough.
