If people would just stop wtaching the show and more importantly STOP TALKING AND REPORTINGOR COMMENTING ABOUT IT the show will go away. If the viewers go so will the advertisers and then the show will disappear. Honey Boo Boo is a disgrace. But the show is still on television because people watch and comment about it? Ignore the show and it's cast members and it wil go away!

The last time I visited my doctor there were more pharmaceutical reps waiting to see the physician than there were patients. Maybe the drug kingpins in our state aren't fellows from Detroit, perhaps it's the guys and gals from Purdue Pharma.

I can't believe an editorial was even written about this. Who cares?

There has been much controversy over this show. Some assume it is meant to represent WV youth. It is probably filmed in WV, but how many of the cast members are really from WV? What was the criteria for being a cast member? Most of the viewers are kids who think these bozos are funny in a Beavis and Butthead kind of way, but would never want to be BFF's with them. Too bad that a true representation of WV youth would not be sensational enough to be a show. I have to admitt that I have not watched the actual show, but have seen the commercials and read enough newspaper articles to decide I do not wish to support this show and it's advertisers. Too bad MTV doesn't represent WV youth is a realistic and positive way. Too bad MTV doesn't go back to it's roots and show music videos like it did back in the day.

There is a drug problem in WV, I know too many young people on hard-core drugs and it scares me every time I read the paper online when I see that someone has overdosed wondering if it is someone I know. I wonder why the court system keep bonding these people out though when they just continue to get arrested again and again. Is it truly about the money, knowing that it is going to happen over and over and they are going to be able to keep the money, knowing that more than likely these people won't show up for court. Is it all about the money? I think it is all sad and these people need to get their lives in order from the court system down to the drug users.

The Editorial states, "Our state has among the highest, if not the highest, drug overdose death rates in the nation."

That's what you would expect from a state that 72,544 of it people voted for a convicted felon serving time in a Federal Penitentiary in Taxes for President of the United States of America, isn't it??

I really enjoy the show. Most of the activity is typical of young adults regardless of where they live (it is a litte exagerated - that's Hollywood). Enjoy the show...and yes it is filmed in West Virginia.

For the most part, any dead beat could put the script together required for this show. Goes to show you just how bad mtv writers really are. If you are not a creative writer, send your resume to mtv. My guess is that a little influence over the juveniles and lack of good parenting provided the perfect scenario for a wasted production.

Our state has among the highest, if not the highest, drug overdose death rates in the nation. This is Mtv's fault?
