City workers know what the pay is when they apply for the job. How many people has gone several years without pay raise, they get discount on health insurance also they get a pension. They should to be happy they have a job. When users fee is dropped then we could look into pay raises.

So Newell pushes the user fee in Parkersburg and now wants to give city employees pay raises because they have to pay the city use fee?! Seriously? Words almost fail. So the tax payers of the city are paying the user fee if they work in town and also going to pay for pay raises for the city employees because it's somehow unfair that THEY have to pay the fee? Really?

There Newell goes again. Home rule means he wants either an income tax or a sales tax or both! Don't blame me I voted for Gerald Board.
