What is the true definition of poverty? Is it soley based on income? If a person has a smart phone and their kids have smart phones are they living in poverty? How about 4-wheelers? Cable tv? My idea of poverty is someone who does not have any of these things and does not know where their next meal is coming from.

My plan is simple-cut off welfare to single moms. The srews the current generation. But this will discourage the next generation from having kids just to get on welfare. Why are we the only country on the planet who reward people for making bad decisions?

For all the moaning and groaning that I read from the author of the article about poverty I did not see one solution or idea from him other than (between the lines) let the poor live in the streets and hunt for food in the local garbage landfill, not unlike they do in India. I don't want to live like they do in India...do you? As Christians know, we must take care of our brothers. I don't think Jesus would like this article.

Suttle most of what you say is true. However, Jesus won't read the article because the liberals have thrown him and his beliefs under the bus...... As far as the libs/dems are concerned Christianity has no place in todays society. In my opinion this has helped create the society we live in today.
