I SAID THIS WOULD HAPPEN FROM THE BEGINNING. NOT EXACTLY THIS WAY BUT IT STILL IS WHAT IT IS. I KNEW SHE WOULD GET OUT OF IT LIKE STEPHANIE WHITED. I KNEW AND SAID AFTER SHE TESTIFIED AGAINST HER BABY DADDY THAT SHE WOULD BE ON THE STREETS BEFORE TWO YEARS TIME. GEE GO FIGURE.ALL IT TAKES IS FOR A WOMAN AND MAN TO BE INVOLVED IN A CHILD'S DEATH AND THE WOMAN GETS OUT OF IT AND THE MAN ROTTS IN PRISON.

She allowed her children to be unsupervised and wander into a vacant building next door, she's guilty as charged and no appeals court in the country can change that fact other than on paper.

While nothing can bring her daughter back, the decision is a small victory, conceded Dillon, who hopes the public perception of her will change. ...She's 26 with a 52 year old fiance, that change my perception.

A lot of the public knows how these children were being raised without parents watching or taking care of them. I say Chrystal is as guilty as the baby's father is if both were home or even outside the house. You DO NOT let a little toddler out of your sight for a few minutes or let a toddler wonder around with her little brother without supervision. it's such a shame this beautiful child isn't here on earth but it comes down to the parents not watching their children!! That in itself is wrong and makes these parents baby killers! I hope the guilt stays with them the rest of their lives. They can leave this area but they can't leave their guilt here. In the end both parents are guilty as if they set the fire itself for letting these little children wonder around by their selves. I hope to God this woman never has any more children as she doesn't deserve them and proved that. She does not deserve the little boy back.

I usually agree with many of the previous posters like Wildbill and Hindsight. However, I couldn't disagree more on this topic. I was a young mom too. I don't know Ms.Dillon but I wish that I did. She screwed up. She knows she screwed up. Labeling her a "Babykiller" and damning her to a life of guilt and harassment is not going to bring this little girl back. The justice system has made it's judgment upon her. She has paid her dept to society, She will pay a much bigger dept to herself and her daughter for the rest of her life. We are not her judge. I don't think she is moving away to get away from the pain or guilt..she is moving away because she has to start over. She has learned a VERY tough lesson. Perhaps she was a neglectful parent...perhaps not. It doesn't really matter now. She doesn't owe explanations to anyone.

She will never outlive the memory of what happened in Belpre that day. Her son will never outgrow that experience. I bet if you ask him if he wants his momma in his life he would say YES. He didn't pick her but she is what he got. If she can get it together and do things differently I say that she should do it. I think moving is the best thing. She will never be able to live here without people judging her and treating her like trash. What does that fix? What is the purpose. We all have screwed up in our lives...some more than others. There is not a parent alive who hasn't had to go to the bathroom or had something on the stove..they turn their backs for 2 minutes and this could have been them.

As for passing judgment on her about her much older boyfriend..I don't understand it and I cannot see where the connection is but it's not my life. Who the heck are we to say who she should be with? I sure as heck wouldn't want someone telling me who I should share my bed with.

I suspect that the majority of those on the jury were likeminded ******* who set this should be guilty (Mom???) free.

Advice to the young mother....move ..scratch that, RUN from that area. People there are simple minded and past judgement. As a Buddhist, we learn not to judge others because we become what we think. Again run..to a city that does not judge.

City Grow up and act like you got some common sense, I know it is hard but no one is perfect in this world. But everyone needs to look in the mirror and look for faults first before looking for it in others

What part of "overturned for LACK of sufficient evidence" did you people miss? Accounts deleted, your tentacles of knowledge aren't what you believe them to be; seems like a witch hunt because of age difference. Think that girl WANTED to lose her daughter? Trial by media needs to give it a rest.

...o*****no. Lol I just realized in my previous posts I mispelled debt. Oops! Ummm.. city do you know this family personally? It certainly seems that you have something personal against them. I have to say I am with Remington and AaronL here. You just don't make much sense to me. Your degenerative judgements and Jerry Springer like intelligence seem very misguided and childlike. Good luck with that. ~;)
