An airport is an important asset to the surrounding communities. If you don't have an airport, you won't have industry. Those communities that invest big dollars in their airport facitlities have received big benefits. The problem has always been with Parkersburg is that it thinks too small.

Wouldn't it be informative if the News & Sentinel would divulge the total Federal, State and Local taxes being spent at the airport for the very, very few citizens who utilize the airport? Sadly, the airport is a taxpayer money pit.
