I totally agree with this column! Thanks to treatment in leiu of conviction sentiments and bleeding hear attorneys-millions of alcoholics and addicts get away with not having to pay the consequences for their actions. But give this lady time-I am sure she will slip up again. When she does she will pay a much bigger price.

When you decide to work in law enforcement, you decide to uphold the law...not break it. No second chances for those who wear the uniform. It's like saying she only robbed a bank once and promises not to do it again. Ridiculous. She needs to find another profession.
