That's about the standard response for liberals who cry about the poor being unfairly taxed when it comes to income tax but then have no problem jacking up excise taxes which disproportionately affect the middle class. It’s been that way since Roosevelt repealed prohibition to tax beer and used that and other excise taxes to pay for his new deal and it remains that way today. I wonder why the poor vote so ardently for Democrats when liberals give with one hand while simultaneously taking away with the other.

Ummm..........it seems to me if W.V. would up the anti (taxes) on any kind of alcohol it would put money in the state coffers plus save countless lives.(not only the drinkers but the families who are wiped out by drunk driver!)
